Said by Wikipedia..
  • Exquisite corpse, also known as exquisite cadaver (from the original French term cadavre exquis) or rotating corpse, is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see the end of what the previous person contributed.
  • Made by: surrealist artists
Said by Google..
  • A 20th-century avant-garde movement in art and literature that sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind.
Brainstorming:
  • I am going to use a variety of a lot of colors and utilize a very fun and exciting theme.
  • I am also going to use an exciting background.
  • I like this one because of the colors and the funky feel it has to it. It is very unique and won't look similar to any other exquisite corpses you would find.

  •  I like this one because of the burst of color in the center, it really grabs the viewer's attention.

The Creative Process

The Creative Process- A series of steps you repeat every time you need to design something.

Why is the creative process important?
  • It improves consistency.
  • Ability to plan and time your work.
  • Raises the quality of your work.
  • Communicate more effectively and in a more professional way.

The Creative Process:

1. Research- research the client and the competition. (online/magazines/music/world around you)
2. Brainstorm/Inspiration- strive to be unique and innovative while still following the current trend. (ensures a fresh and creative approach)
  • Who is my audience?
  • What kind of message am i trying to communicate?
  • What am i trying to tell my audience?
3. Sketching- (thumbnails) sketch to get your thoughts out and to work through your ideas.
  • Consider placement of elements
  • Consider images and illustrations
4. Execute- implement your ideas/combine type and imagery into a well developed composition/utilize design principles and visual organization guidelines to try to help.

5. Critique and Design- take a step back and look at it with an objective eye/make sure the design effectively conveys the message to the intended audience.

    Photography Composition

Snapshot- a quick shot, often spontaneous, taken to record a moment in time.
Photograph- an image taken with care and thought.
Rule of Thirds- imaginary lines drawn diving the frame of your camera into thirds, both horizontally and vertically.
    • Place the important subject, or important elements of your composition where these lines intersect.
    • Place horizon line at the top or bottom horizon divider.
    • Or fill up the entire frame with the subject for a close up image.
Leading Lines- use the lines created within the foreground or background of the composition to lead the viewers eyes through the photo.
    • Lines can draw attention to one or more intended subjects or a single focal point.
Point of View- change the way your subject is perceived by changing the camera position.
    • If you are photographing a subject that you want to seem very tall, compose the shot so that your camera is looking upwards.
    • .....and vice versa
Simplicity- keep your backgrounds simple and clear of clutter.
    • The mood and effectiveness of a photo can be altered by what is in the background.
    • A chaotic composition will cause the viewer to look away.
